Years after a major accident and it seems to be taking forever to recover or will I ever recover from this injury? There's one documentary after another about how important it is to avoid stress when you are trying to recover from injury. Stress, however is a tool used by Lawyers Insurance Companies and even the Police who arrive at the scene of an accident. Causing stress is thought to be a legitimate law enforcement technique or a legitimate tactic. When Insurance companies are defending against an accident claim.
How much damage is done by the application of stress right at the scene of the accident? Documentaries claim that this form of stress compounds physical accident injury with mental injury. On many occasion's I was stressed to the point of convulsion or collapse at the scene of an accident, when I was dealing with insurance Adjusters and when I appeared in court as a plaintiff.
I believe that the stress I was subjected to prolonged my period of recovery and created a climate of fear feelings of danger and a heightened and exhausting vigilance. The technique of causing stress until I was virtually paralyzed has allowed a series of abuses and denials of claim which left me without disposable income throughout most of my life, unable to employ myself and uncompensated.
What would be the worst situation I have encountered? Was it the repeated arrivals of Regional District and Police Officers at my home or at my business or was it the Knowledge that anyone could start a terrifying destructive process at any time or was it the day my ex-wife, about three years after a terrible accident while I was still really badly rattled, collapsing having to sleep every few hours and my ex-wife said to me "My lawyer and I know about your neck and your back and we are going to put so much stress on you". Somewhere in this whole process I have become so stressed that I am paralyzed most of the time, I collapse upon being threatened or abused and I don't think I've drawn a relaxed breath in about 20 years.
I don't know anyone who says that they are happily living ever after their accident but any other people I have met are stressed to the point of breaking as well as a result of their injury's and the treatment they get from Insurance Company's Lawyers and Police.
Stressing injured persons to the point of breaking is not any form of legitimate tactic and we have to stop this mis-use and abuse of injured persons
